New Children’s Home in Andhra Pradesh

On Saturday 10 December, Dr Abraham opened a new facility for a children’s home at Andra Pradesh. This facility incorporating children’s home, carer’s accommodation, and church/community meeting area was completed for around 60 000AUD. The project was funded by a group of active supporters in Mt Isa Community Church – an outstanding achievement.

Graham Hill visit to India

Graham leaves on Tuesday 13 December to visit Dr Abraham and his team. While in India he will visit some of the schools, children’s homes, and feeding projects. The purpose of the trip is to prepare the HFI project description for 2012-2015 according to AusAid requirements which are administered for us by Global Development group. We’ll keep you updated with photos from the trip.

Simpler donation processes

The growing complexity of requirements associated with operating the HFI Trust Fund prompted a review of our donation processes. The revised arrangements are simpler and require less management time by the committee who all contribute this time voluntarily. Special thanks go to Malcolm Borgeaud and Marissa Burton of Borgeaud and Co Accountants who have given many hours to operating and auditing the HFI Trust Fund. In the future donations for HFI projects can be made directly to our partner organisation Global Development Group who will issue receipts on behalf of HFI. This also includes the option of regular monthly donations from your credit card account. Please refer to the donations page for further details.
