Heart for India is the Australian support base for the Bethesda Children’s Homes operated by Dr R Abraham in India. The support team in Australia is working together to generate awareness of the plight of India’s poor and funding for existing and future projects.

Dr R Abraham

In 1976 R Abraham and his brother-in-law VA Thampy founded the New India Church of God with a vision for a transformed India. Over the past 33 years they have established an extensive network of church and community care initiatives in 22 states of India and Nepal. This includes 3000 churches, 12 orphanages, 6 Christian schools, 17 leadership training colleges, feeding programs for the poor, micro business development, disaster relief programs and 24 sewing schools to enable abandoned women to earn an income. Dr R Abraham is Chairman of the Bethesda Christian Academy, managing Director of Power Vision TV and member of Church Growth International, Korea.
